What to do when a sweepstakes casino closes or leaves your state
Save your records, separate the deadlines and protect a pending prize request when access is changing.
On this page
Save the announcement and your account records as soon as you learn that a casino is closing or withdrawing from your state. The dates for purchases, play, prize requests and support may be different. A single closing date may not describe the last opportunity to act on your balance.
If a closure or state exit is confirmed
Save the notice
Keep the full email or announcement, including its date, affected locations and time zone. Open the casino through your usual official address to confirm the message.
Record the account position
Capture each currency balance, the redeemable amount, pending requests and recent transactions. Save request IDs and relevant support conversations.
Identify each deadline
Separate the last purchase date, last play date, last redemption-request date and any deadline to provide verification documents. Ask about any missing deadline.
Submit an eligible request promptly
Use the stated redemption process while it remains available. Keep its confirmation and complete requested checks through the official secure route.
Keep following the request
A submitted request is not a received prize. Retain access to the email and payment destination, and record any promised update.
The LuckyLand Slots wind-down separated purchase, gameplay and final redemption dates. It is a useful example of why one closing date is not enough.
Ask what happens to your particular balance
Gold Coins, unplayed promotional coins, redeemable winnings and an already approved prize can have different treatment. Do not assume a closure turns every currency into cash or removes the normal minimum. If the notice provides an exception, keep the wording that applies to you.
Avoid buying another package to rescue a balance below the minimum. You could add spending without producing a qualifying prize, particularly when time or access is limited.
If the site disappears without an announcement
A failed login or loading error alone does not establish that the business has closed. Check the operator’s known help channel and announcements. Record the error and when it began. Do not submit documents or payment details to a replacement domain simply because a social-media account calls it the new site.
If you cannot reach the account, gather purchase confirmations, bank records and earlier screenshots. Make a dated written request through the official contact you can still verify. Ask specifically about account access and any outstanding prize.
In The Money Factory’s closure notice, preserving account records did not come with a payout schedule or guarantee. Keep those two questions separate.
Escalation and recovery have limits
If ordinary support fails, use the stated complaints process and consider a consumer complaint to the relevant state authority. Describe the timeline, amount and response accurately. A complaint, a published closure notice or a requested chargeback does not guarantee a refund or prize payment.
If you suspect payment misuse, contact your bank or payment provider through its own official channel. Explain the actual issue; an authorized purchase, an unauthorized charge and an unpaid prize are different situations.
Be wary of unsolicited recovery offers that demand an upfront payment or access to your account. Use the fake support and messages guide to check the sender. A shutdown is not a reason to abandon the checks you would normally make before handing over money or documents.
