Can people in the same household use a sweepstakes casino?
Understand the difference between one account per person, household limits, shared internet access and offer restrictions.
On this page
One account per person does not answer every household question. A casino can also have rules about shared devices, IP addresses, payment methods or one promotional offer per household. Read those rules separately before a second adult at the same address registers.
| Restriction | What it covers |
|---|---|
| One account per person | You cannot create another identity or login to receive another account. |
| Household eligibility | Whether more than one eligible person at an address may participate. |
| Shared device or IP rules | How shared internet access or devices affect registration and review. |
| Promotion limits | Whether an offer is restricted per person, household, device or payment method. |
A concrete example of why the distinction matters
McLuck’s July 2026 terms allow one account per person, direct users who lose access to recover the existing account and prohibit account sharing. They also reserve the option to limit registrations per IP address. Those provisions do not promise that two adults using the same connection will automatically qualify. Read McLuck’s account terms.
Other operators use different wording. A spouse successfully creating an account, or another player reporting that two household accounts worked, does not establish permission for yours.
Before another household member registers
Find both sets of rules
Read the general account and eligibility terms, then the specific welcome-offer rules. Look for person, household, address, device, IP and payment method.
Explain the actual situation
If unclear, ask whether two named adult residents may hold separate accounts while sharing the address and connection. Mention any shared payment method you intend to use.
Keep ownership separate
Each person should register and operate their own permitted account using accurate personal information. Follow the operator’s payment-ownership requirements.
Save the answer
Keep the written response and relevant rules. Clarify any conflict before buying or claiming a restricted promotion.
Do not solve an account problem by opening another
If you forgot your password, changed email or lost access to a social login, use account recovery. If you accidentally made a duplicate, stop using it and tell support the associated email addresses. Hiding the duplicate or moving activity between the accounts can complicate the issue.
Keep account, payment and identity documents aligned with the person who owns the account. Permission to use someone’s bank card in ordinary life does not establish that the casino accepts it. A joint account may need a specific ownership check.
Shared access is not a reason to disguise your details
Use your genuine address and location. Do not change an apartment number, borrow a relative’s details or conceal the connection to get around a restriction. If the rules exclude the arrangement, another login does not fix it.
If an account is already held for review, ask which policy is involved and what evidence is required. Use the verification guide to prepare documents without repeatedly submitting the same rejected material.
