ProphetX received CFTC clearing registration on June 10, 2026 and contract-market designation on June 11.
ProphetX received two Commodity Futures Trading Commission registrations on consecutive days in June 2026. Its derivatives clearing organization registration took effect June 10, followed by designation as a contract market on June 11.
The clearing registration permits ProphetX to clear fully collateralized futures, options on futures and swaps. The separate contract-market order covers operating the exchange through nonintermediated trading and fully collateralized clearing.
The contract-market order requires continuing compliance with CFTC rules and does not allow futures commission merchant intermediation unless the order is amended. ProphetX said it intended users to trade, clear and settle event-based contracts through its platform.
